Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

My question would have been what is the cost of this?

Great marketing.

Think of the $1 section at Target, the plan there is think of the bonus cash the company makes if every shopper puts 1 item in their cart from the $1 section every single day. Adds up quick for cheapo junk! Seems the only difference is Walmart has a more refreshing item!

Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

@occasionalrain   This is not a kindness. The curbside workers are now required to suggest a water purchase to customers even though they can barely keep up with their normal workload because of understaffing. I talked with the young man about it. He also thought it was crazy.

Walmart is always testing out new things and that's why this is happening at this store. I'm guessing/hoping that this one fails. If Walmarts in my area cannot get the average wait time for a pickup below 20 minutes, they should not increase a worker's responsibilities.

My answer would be I'll take 2. One for me and one for you. You pick what you want. When I have a delivery I always have a beverage for them and UPS etc. also.

@Jacie

I like that area and the cheap junk. If something there has flowers, birds, or bees on it, I can't just walk away.

I was a direct report to a CEO who was a complainer. One of her complaint "themes" was "miserable people being miserable." I should note she could be quite miserable herself.

@occasionalrain Glad you like it! You might just be Target's dream customer! And, thank you for supporting my retirement pension  from the company! Though I don't shop there anymore (the area I live in doesn't have a nice Target, Walmarts are better here!) I used to love the $ shop too!
