Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

No. They don't get a bonus lolol....but there is a pushback if they don't get customer feedback. In regions, there is great competition. So in the Markets yes c the higher upside do get a percentage butbits not the hourly employee or associate.
I'm in Illinois, there's no offer for anything lol. Be nice. And if you like the service you received give a review. If you feel it's not good, then suggest different.
These hourly associates bust their butts to earn 15.00 an hour. In Online Grocery they work hard.

@occasionalrain You are right.

I thought about starting a thread about something that happened in my day.

After seeing this thread, I changed my mind.

Yep, me....never again🙄

I think the suggestion to add a cold beverage to a curbside pickup order is brilliant and sounds refreshing.

I don’t find anything egregious about either of those things.

Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

I am pretty sure a lot of people post about complaints that may not be a big deal because it distracts them from things that really are a big deal.

Maybe not all but a lot I bet.

So I wouldn't judge how many "real" things someone had to complain about based on something minor they complain about here.

I bet a lot of us use these forums to get away from the worries of life, sometimes awful things, life and death things, all kinds of sad things.

I don't see the need to be mean to those who post a complaint or really just a viewpoint which I think the op is. It almost seems like a sport-how to shoot down the poster! Jeez people! Empathy doesn't cost a thing.

Re: Please Walmart -- Drop This New Service

I don't do curbside pickup so forgive me if I get it wrong.

I suppose a person orders from home then goes to the store, let's them know they've arrived and can then ask that a drink be added. If that's how it works, why would the employee need to suggest getting a drink for the customer at their car? Obviously, if they wanted a drink they would have already requested one.

@on the bay   Excellent post.

I think many posters do not start a thread for fear of being slammed by others telling them how unimportant or silly their post might be and that is unfortunate.

Of course, they will not be earth shakingly important world matters as that is not allowed here.

I would enjoy hearing from others about different things they come across or happened to them through their day.

Of course, you will have the scolders out in force.

I had to go to a Walmart I rarely use for a curbside pickup today.

When the (charming) employee came up to my window, he asked, "It's a hot day today. We have ice cold water and soft drinks right inside. I could add it to this order. Would you like me to bring you one?"

Oh no! They're turning the order carriers into cafe servers. I declined.

He then handed me a well-designed four color glossy sheet of paper which thanked me for being a customer and was signed by him. "Remember, five stars for me will mean a lot." At Walmart, if you leave feedback and mention an employee by name, they get a bonus.

Is this happening in other parts of the country?

I do not use curb side pick up but I think this was a very nice gesture.  I am always willing to help an employee if the service is good and will gladly fill out a card.  I also rate the self checkout.  An employee said it helps them so I give 5 stars.  I also try not to shop if I am in a hurry.  Getting offered a cold drink on a hot day and he was willing to go back in and get it for you.  I would rate him 5 starsSmiley Happy
