Highest record of rain EVER recorded in Arizona today. 5.63 inches recorded in Chandler where one of my sons lives.

In Tucson a woman died in her vehicle in a flood in the neighborhood I grew up in! I have seen it bad, but never like this! I heard another woman died in her car elsewhere in the state.

All this rain is from the remnants of former hurricane Norbert in the Pacific. I hope all in Phoenix and my fellow Tucsonans are and stay safe.

I had to be out in the rains in Tucson. Streets were flooded and I had to drive many blocks out of my way to get to where I was going. Some intersections were running rivers and people had to turn around and find other ways. It wasn't raining at my house when I left. I got about 8 miles to my destination and down it came. It only takes a few minutes for the streets to fill up.

Not like Phoenix, though. Thank Goodness.
