My major pet peeves all involve the grocery store shopping experience.

First: those people who take up both sides of the aisle pushing their cart right down the middle & those who park their carts in the middle of an aisle, blocking everyone else, while they wander around picking items off the shelves.

Second: those people who apparently don't understand that they actually have to pay for their groceries.  They stand idle, staring into space, while the clerk scans everything and then once the clerk is finished, gives them a total, and only then do they start fishing around in their purse for their wallet, checkbook, debit or credit card.

Third: those people who have no clue as to how to use a debit card.  If you aren't comfortable using one, go to your bank and get someone there, or a relative to show you how to use it, before you show up at a store.

In addition, regarding the grocery store, the people who are paying by check have to ask for a pen, the date, and then fill out theircheck register before actually ripping the check from their checkbook.

There are a LOT of them who post here. Would love to name names, but you know what would happen if I did.

Really passive aggressive people. Honestly, its hard for me to relate to them or have deep relationships with them. I'm pretty honest and open, so when people don't let you know how they really feel or what they think, so you will like them, makes me not trust them.  Know this is partially a personal issue on my part but it drives me nuts.

@Drythe, I don't know if you've been following the thread in TV and Movies about the Netflix "documentary" on that Avery fellow, but besides murder, he allegedly soaked a cat in gas and oil and threw it in a bonfire to watch it suffer. Men like that should stay in prison for that act alone.

ohhh. I have seen people mentioning this show. All up in arms that he is wrongfully convicted. Well, I don't plan to watch it but I don't like him now. Sicko.

I no longer acknowledge them. They will just google more and more info and it never ends.

Re: Pet Peeve! What's yours?

Like others have said, people who do not return their shopping carts. Our car was dented by one at Toys R Us once. And one time, I was sitting in my car going through coupons after just having pulled in the parking spot. The person across from me emptied her cart and shoved it forward into my car. She pulled out without even acknowledging me! And the cart return was two rows over! Another time that happened and I jumped out of the car and asked her why she couldn't return her cart to the cart return place. She looked at me and said that we all couldn't be perfect like me, got into her car, and left! UGH!

Second: Again as other posters have said, people who park in handicapped spaces without needing them. I understand shortness of breath, a passenger's broken leg, etc. but SO many people don't even pay attention. Right before Christmas, when most of us were circling the parking lot of the local grocery store trying to find a spot, two young girls in an expensive car came around the corner and pulled right in. By that time, a spot had opened up in the same row, and I had been the lucky "winner" (who had waited a long time!). They got out of their car, both in high heels, and went into the store. I saw them inside shopping and pushing the cart with no trouble at all. There was no handicapped license plate or tag hanging down from their mirror. I almost said something, but the store was packed, and it was two days before Christmas, so I didn't. I should have. Smiley Mad

Friends who run into each other at the grocery store and block a huge amount of space in an extremely busy produce section.

If they are right, we should learn from them.  There are quite a few posters I learn from, one on economics, and quite a few others.

Buildings that have the company name with letters missing, Our school went for several months with the C missing from SCHOOL. Hated that.

Also, signs that have outdated messages on them.

When my DH has the remote and stops on every channel for three minutes!!!  It's just long enough to get interested in, then boom, off to another channel for three minutes.

Neighbors that leave their trash cans at the curb for several days.  I see them walk right past them.
