Yes.   My first thought was 'doesn't everybody know that?'.  But then I had to remember that this board tends to attract a lot of people who are brand new on the internet.

All that said, however, I've also learned that you just can't tell people here anything about internet security or internet etiquette because nine times out of ten you will just get the finger and they go on doing that they're doing.

I've seen it. I even reported one post to the mods to delete because it contained someone's complete name and address. The poster appeared to think that she/he was talking directly to one of the vendors, not posting on a public forum, if I recall correctly.

Not everyone is computer or internet savvy.

People post real names, order #s, phone #s and I have seen addresses, but not in CC so much. Just like on Amazon, people think the forum is their direct connection to CS and that the forum is monitored & responded to by CS 24/7. Amazon customers do the same thing.

Believe it - not everyone who posts here uses common sense.
