First show I have watched in ages! I realized what I have been missing and desperately wanted professionalism! Let this be your example of how a show should run and especially an"over 50 show"! Explaining the product, the host not speaking OVER the vender and vise versa! A few little laughs, but making sense, no one giggling like they are 12, no one speaking about their adult children constantly. No yelling or screaming!! No one speaking of their hemroids and no one running around with a wine glass in their hands. Thank you,Jill and Pat for showing us how a show should run.

Pat and Jill together are a wonderful change from the usual. I enjoyed listening to them for awhile. Unfortunately, I'm not remotely interested in the product.

@Kathyfobo Are you watching the Jai Jewelry show with brand ambassador Jill Bauer?
No surprise there that Jill would be an easy to watch guest. She was that way as a QVC host for many years. She's never been into sideshow antics.
By the way, I think the wine or (whatever juice is in the glasses) is a ridiculous prop. It may be at the top of the list of ways they have managed to mess up the Over 50 and Fabulous shows. Most people would not risk having the wine go to their head while they still had a job to do of speaking live on air. Taste sipping when selling wine during food and kitchen shows can be excused as an exception.

I didn't see the show, but I am not surprised at all-two professionals, I think both of them are good hosts, well Jill is an ex host, but never the less very good at her job, and Pat is the consumate professional as well. Easy to listen to and not going overboard with the sales pitch..

@Trix I have to agree about your comments about Jill, no nonsense but does her job.
I too also wonder why wine/drinking has to be promoted in most evening shows. It started during covid when some people would broadcast from home, and then they brought it to the studio (SK being the main culprit). I am not a teetotaler at all, but almost every show including the (maybe🤷🏻♀️) defunct Tuesday night Girls Night In when it became mostly about beauty. What does wine (real or not) have to do with makeup?
Listing shows I have seen drinking discussed or included, mocktails with Leah on AM Style Saturday mornings, aforementioned GNI, Over 50 and Fab, Happy Hour Friday with Amy and Alberti, most any show with Shawn K after 5pm including but not limited to Shawn Saves "insert a season/holiday here", Sizzling Summer with Rick, her Monday shows; Monday PM Style with Amy, and probably more but that is enough.
It is so gauche and just lame. It pushes a narrative I think Q would not want. And note, if the guys were always on air with their libations (real or not) it would not last at all. But one would have to assume because it is mostly a certain group of ladies (nic Happy Hour) it most certainly must be "fabulous" and what "the cool kids" are doing.

Hosts do make a difference. I know Jill isn't an actual host, but she knows how it works.

Loved it!!!! Two of my favorites!!!! Still follow Jill. .. and thrilled she is on again with Jai.
The entire landscape needs to be brought more into line with "professional presentations"! Trust me, I love a good wine. . . but, it has become rediculous!!!
Yea, NO MENTION OF MENOPAUSE. . . good grief QVC. I have had it with the most unprofessional of all. . . SK.

What a delightful show! I was on the Q homepage ... heard Jill's distinctive voice and tuned in ... enjoyed every minute ... reminded me of the Q of old.
I even have the butterfly cuff in my cart, thanks to Jill's storytelling ... can't quite closed the deal ... yet! ![]()

I guess whoever decided that hosts drinking wine, over 50, menopause, etc thinks it will create a party atmosphere or hanging out with your girlfriends discussingeverything under the sun. But It all seems so fake and offensive.
It's one thing to have a get together with friends in real life but watching all the acting of it on a shopping channel just seems so inauthentic. And then you wonder, what are they even presenting?!

@on the bay I was looking for that word "inauthentic" earlier for my post! That is exactly what it is, all of this 50 Fab, wine and sharing our lady "secrets" like high school. Silliness to make a buck.
