**UPDATE 8.29.24** Great effort Katia.... Hope it was fun!

New Mrs America Hannah Wise from Tennessee 

** CORRECTION -  Apparently there is a Mrs America pageant and a Mrs American pageant. Katia is a contestant tonight in the Mrs America pageant so we don't know the winner yet at 8:45PT. Sorry for the confusion. The lady below won the Mrs American pageant held earlier today. Good luck Katia! 

Kim and Mary were talking about the pageant this morning and hoping Katia would win. The winner is from Washington, Heidi Stephens.  She is a nurse who is now a stay at home mom with 2 kids. Husband was a Merchant Marine but is now a cruise captain (I think that's what I heard).

Katia and the winner are both very beautiful ladies.  I hope that Katia tries out for it again next year- I really think that she could win!

Just to clarify:

There are three pageants in the Mrs. America Pageant system:

Miss for America Strong
Mrs. American
Mrs. America

All three pageants are held at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The Miss for America Strong pageant was held this past Monday, August 26 and the winner was Jacklyn Drake, representing North Dakota. The Mrs. American pageant was held yesterday, August 27 and the winner was Heidi Stephens (pictured above) representing Washington state. The Mrs. America pageant (the pageant that Katia is competing in) is being held tonight. Hopefully the winner of Mrs. America will be announced soon - crossing my fingers for Katia.

Just curious - what is the difference between Mrs. American and Mrs. America?
