@Mom2Dogs   Your friend could have a different plan than your DH.  Silver Scripts sells more than one plan.  In my area, they have the Choice and Plus Plans.

One is more expensive than the other one and has different benefits and the difference in premium price is a little over $50 a month.

@Lisa now in AZ   Everyone who has the same RX plan that you have pays the same monthly premium.  Some of those people may not use any RX drugs, but some like you, may use expensive drugs.  Doesn't matter.  Everyone pays the same premium monthly.

The plan you choose drives the price, not your age or usage.  Of course, smart people will do their homework to choose that plan that covers all the drugs they use at an affordable price.

@Carmie....My friend gets a tad irked when you ask to many questions, so I did not quiz her about her plan, that is why I asked the question...but when I mentioned my DH switched plans she wanted to know to what company....she thought she could go to the local drug store and ask questions, which I am pretty sure they will not have answers or be able to sign her up...I just kept my mouth shut, it's best sometimes!

@Mom2Dogs   I understand.  Some people get irked with me too.  My cousin talked to a broker who works on commission and he talked her into Plan F.  

Now Plan F is a great plan, but if you live in PA, you do not need coverage for the Medicare excess fee because it is illegal for doctors to bill you for it.  So, Plan C is the way to go.

When I suggested Plan C, instead of Plan F to save her money on something she doesn't need anyway, she got ticked off.  I guess she likes to spend money.

Both plans are EXACTLY the same, except for the excess fee coverage.  I didn't volunteer the info, she asked me what I thought.
