Is there a reason the picture of that shooter was posted? I've never seen a picture of a mass shooter posted here before. No article or picture of the Fort Worth TX shooter?

Today is the one year anniversary of the Highland Park 4th of July parade mass murder

Gunfire erupted just before midnight Monday in Fort Worth, Texas, leaving at least three dead and eight others wounded, police said.

Ten of the victims are adults and one a minor, according to a news release from the Fort Worth Police Department’s homicide unit.

Hours after the tragedy, the neighborhood held its Fourth of July parade on the same street where the shooting occurred, with parade-goers waving at children on colorful floats and riders on horseback.

Monday night, officers discovered multiple people shot in a parking lot in the Horne Street area of the Como neighborhood, police said. Several victims were brought to local hospitals by private vehicles, while others were transported by ambulance, authorities said.

Detectives have yet to identify any suspects, Fort Worth police said in a news release Tuesday afternoon. Investigators believe “none of the injured were suspects in the shooting,” according to the release.

Police said “several unknown males were reported to have started firing into the crowd indiscriminately and then fled the scene.”  There was a large crowd in the neighborhood when police responded..

I am only interested in protecting my grandkids and all people from this senseless killing society. The greed and corruption you speak of is a perfect reason to stand by that 2nd ammendment.

@Greeneyedlady21   I wondered the motivation behind posting a picture also.

It is not something I want to see.

Apparently there was a series of mass shootings, mostly in the dicey Northeast and Southeast sections of DC over the last day or so with 17 people shot and 5 dead. There was also a drive by shooting rampage in South Baltimore with at least 2 dead and another shooting in Seat Pleasant Maryland, another high crime neighborhood in Prince George's county that killed at least one man.

As for posting pictures of the suspects or perpetrators, the media avoids photograps of those that are underage. Otherwise, it seems they're fair game. No reason why they shouldn't be. If you go around shooting people odds are you're going to make the evening news.
