I couldn't get past that statement, LOL. That is a hoot and so far from the truth! Is the site a propaganda site for GS?

I always liked Shep Smith but I don't think he anchors a show anymore...at least I haven't seen him while channel flipping.
I like Shep too. He's on at 2pm central

I always liked him too. I remember him reporting a hurricane once. What a trooper.

I agree its on over and over especially on CNN. Don't get me wrong it should be in the news, but there should also be many other stories in the news that are not being covered since this plane is missing. To add, I think its about time people face that this plane crashed in the ocean. There is no hijacking because there have been no demands. There is no terrorism or the terrorists would have said so and used the plane by now. Its time for authorities to be honest so these poor families can try to accept the fact that their loved ones are gone.

So what media does he have any ownership in? Please inform us who are living in a fog. While you are doing some research, where has he proven to be against media independence and open society?

Re: Overkill coverage of plane

I don't think that anyone is disrespecting those who were on the plane or their loved ones if a news channel doesn't spend 24/7 coming up with new theories about what happened.

Reporting actual NEWS about it is one thing, but having speculation after speculation thrown around for hour after hour can't be helpful to anyone.

That's what I think, too.

Better to have the coverage than not anything at all. Hopefully the passengers are fine, and are being secretly negotiated, and all will be well. That's what I'm hoping for, anyway. Some people feel that the plane landed at a pre-planned secret airstrip. Just listening to radio talk shows.

A Boeing 777 cannot land on an "airstrip". It takes a smooth runway almost 2 miles long for it to land. A runway that size is not "secret"; it could be seen from space and would be known by those in the aviation community. Building such a runway would cost millions and would be a major engineering and construction project.

This search is costing millions of dollars a day. At some point it's going to have to be cut back or discontinued. Hopefully some debris will appear soon which will at least provide a clue as to what area should be searched.

I've spent a lot of time watching CNN, and the consensus of the experts seems to be that the plane is at the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean somewhere in a huge area of sea. I think all of the speculation about it being hijacked because someone wanted a plane is just sort of silly. There are easier ways to get the use of a plane, as we saw on 9/11.
