No, I haven't forgotten, but ABC didn't devote 24 hours a day to it. They devoted a half and hour per tonight.
Completely different.
If memory serves, they did devote a lot of time but then started the night time programming due to the time difference. Of course it was before the 24/7 cable news cycle...........

There's a possibility that not much would be done if it weren't for the press and people asking questions. Just a thought, right or wrong.

There are many places they could be...why not try and follow a lead?
The retired pilots, news anchors, pundits and conspiracy theorists are not assisting the Malaysian government in the search. They are not FBI or military. So their leads are not really leads they're just opinions and we all have them.

We don't get much of this news locally on local stations here. Just brief mentions in morning/evening national news. Others who have/watch CNN, and all of the other evening talk-news channels probably get a lot more news and discussions in depth. I'm always looking for more, and asking others what's new re: the plane, etc.

Yes, a lot of time was devoted to the story. Americans were being held hostage by terrorists.
There was nightly coverage, and a program dedicated to it until they were freed. It was a totally different kind of story than this one. That's the way I see it. You are free to disagree.

It something like real life mysteries........detectives exploring all possibilities. Ruling out many leads, etc. One has to explore all possibilities. Most of the opinions are possibilities, considering this day and age.

That is very funny! I am a CNN watcher, but I have to say this past week or so has been too much even for me. So I sit here on my computer and play my music on my Bose. If there's "breaking news," I usually see it here first, believe it or not!! Sometimes I'll tune in for a few minutes, sometimes not.

Totally different governments in charge so no matter how many US and International news stations cover the story it's not going to solve the ""mystery"" of the plane. Australia is now involved in the search and they're not tuning into Cable to find answers. They are relying on satellite imagery and other technology.

Nope, I'm in agreement. Personally I think the story should be covered until the plane wreckage is found......

That is pretty funny but to be fair they're hardly alone.
