Re: Overkill coverage of plane

OVERKILL??? I'm glad you don't have relatives on that plane!!! Planes that big just don't disappear into thin air in the 21st Century, now with as much technology in the world today! I am very concerned what happened to this plane, it was an American made plane and had an American passenger on board, I think the US should be involved as to what happened! Someone somewhere knows what happened .......... I hope we will eventually find out what!

Agree. I just caught the tail end of the broadcast Wolf Blitzer had with Christine Almapour (sp). She reported that a person in the know who is not to thrilled with the Malaysian Govt. says that there is no transparency and full disclosure of what really happened. Apparently they do know but disclosing such info would tank tourism in that part of the world and give a more negative outlook on a certain belief practiced.

Re: Overkill coverage of plane

I see your point but it is very important because it could affect us at some point. Most of the experts believe someone took over that plane or someone changed the destination. I agree. Yet why not leave some type of information? If no one finds the plane and there is no excuse given then what they did was pointless.

I don't know what FOX NEWS is saying about the coverage. My post reflected my own opininion based on some of the repetitive and outlandish theories the use to fill air time.That by no means reflects a lack of interest on my part, and it doesn't mean I'm not heartsick for the families. I am. Very much.

Ford started a similar thread last week about being "Exhausted by the coverage..." and many agreed with her, and no one brought up Fox News. I guess it really DOES matter who starts a thread... {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Overkill of coverage must be happening only on news networks because none of my regular channels are covering it except to give brief updates at news time.

ITA. I watched my local news at noon today and they gave a brief update and moved on. Cable news is usually the culprit as they have hours and hours of time to fill.

Lauren Ashburn from Fox admitted the other day that when she wants the news she watches CNN.

That makes sense. Look at all the Fox haters that post on this forum...they claim to detest the station, yet they know every single word that is said and who said it, LOL. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}
