All the news coverage in the world won't bring that plane or those people back. The only thing that will do that is getting out there and scouring land and sea until it's found and i am sure the people who are in charge are doing just that so talking about it on a website or talking about it on the news means zilch and results in nothing but frustration and a lot of speculating.

That's exactly what I think about it.

Agree. I will add, the coverage is global not just the USA. All around the world people know what happened on 9/11, they wouldn't want to think another incident like that would happen where they reside.

But that's just me...I care.
I would too, but I would want "them" there telling me what is being done. I would not want to read it somewhere and wonder.
So very true for all the family and the dear passengers. Not enough coverage until there are better answers.

So many human lives are at stake. We need to care in some way or another.

Turn off CNN then.

They just showed a film of a mother of one of the passengers. She was wailing, begging for media and gov'ts from around the world to help them get true answers from the Malay gov't. Let them cover it. If somebody doesn't like it, there are other networks that aren't showing it 24/7. It's hurting nobody that I can see.
The Malay officials are aware of the scrutiny they are under. The PM mentioned media coverage when he was having a press conference a few days ago.
Perhaps the attention will help to light a fire under the powers that be over there. The families are distraught. They don't feel they are being told the truth.

Actually, although it has significantly reduced my CNN watching, there really should be at least one channel or network that one can be relied upon to be reporting this story 24/7. There is a lot of interest in it (just look at how many posts on this one BB).
Access Hollywood last night reported that CNN's viewership has increased 100% since they have made the decision to focus on this incident.

I agree. People can tune in when ever they want to. It's nice not having to wait and worry that you may miss something important.
I'm glad the viewership is up, they will probably continue the coverage, then.
