All I really know about heaven is what the Bible has to say: Everything else will pale when we see Jesus Christ in all his glory. The Bible does indicate there will be animals in heaven but don't know anymore than this.

Actually, it does. Revelation 5; Romans 8:19, Ephesians 1:9-10; Psalms 145, to name but a few, do strongly speak of "all" of His creation and His plans for them.

I read all the references you listed and don't find anything to verify that there will be animals in heaven. I love animals, too, but they don't have eternal souls/spirits. The "Lamb" mentioned in Revelation refers to Christ, not an actual animal.

Re: Our Pets Will Be With Us In Heaven

If that's the case, I'm not going to heaven then. {#emotions_dlg.devil2} You people who don't believe our pets will be there, just believe what YOU want, and I'll believe what I want. I'm not all that religious anyhow.

SmileI sooo agree! They're healing and when we rescue them, they end up rescuing US! I have learned about love and loving from them!

I very much believe this........my belief has helped me grieve many pet losses as I envision all of our deceased dogs now healthy, running easily and freely!

I wonder ..millions of animals are slaughtered every day for people to eat and their fur and skin to be worn ..where do they go? Just a thought.

So the "creatures" and "all of creation" does not refer to and include animals? Remember that they were first in the garden. So by that reasoning, God has changed His mind about the animals being eternal (no death before the Fall), but not mankind?? Your interpretation flies in the face of Biblical consistency, I'm afraid. What is the "lion" referenced who will "lie down" with the lamb? Who are the "creatures" gathered around the throne since they are clearly not all human? (Nor is it indicated that they are angels since no where else are "angels" referenced as "creatures".) Who are the "all" of creation repeatedly referenced who will be unified and will witness the redemption of creation? Not angels, certainly (and do they even have "souls" in the same sense as we?? They are certainly eternal..... even the fallen) -- and no indication that it's only the two-legged critters either. Only the animals are innocent of sin. Therein lies the difference. The great theologians of our past knew this and had great faith in the ability of God to love and care for ALL of His creation. I wonder that our age has become so narcissistic that so many who should know better have convinced themselves that they are the only beings that matter to God.

(I believe the Bible says what it means and means what it says...and when it refers to "ALL" things under Heaven and Earth, how are animals excluded?)
