Maybe I'm cynical, but I think he's putting on an act. There have been many reports of him being a hothead and that's why I have serious doubts that it was an accident. He was upset with Reeva as she was seen talking to a former boyfriend at a party, and I believe things escalated from there. I think it was a crime of passion, one that he probably really does regret now, but I just don't think it was an accident. Also, Reeva's texts that were recently made public revealed that she admitted to being afraid of him. That's not a good sign, IMO.

I agree. He can "act" upset because of fear of what may happen to him now. I'm sure he does have nightmares. Actually killing someone can do that to you.

Wasn't she sleeping there with him overnight? Why wouldn't he assume it was her in the bathroom or make sure he knew where she was before shooting?

Yes, he shot her through the door. He said he thought someone was in there and before he knew it he had fired 4 shots.

The defense is claiming the screams were from him- yelling for Reeva to call 911 and yelling at the "intruder". The guy testified he feels vulnerable because of his disability and the fact he is a public figure. So he would wake up terrified at any sound in his house. I can understand his perspective....

Well, I haven't listened to the proceedings and so you have a better handle on it than I do. I just can't imagine anyone shooting through a bathroom door without calling out to say "who is in there? I'm going to shoot you." But then I've not been in that situation.

I'm looking forward to the Prosecution cross examining him tomorrow...it's going to be his WORST NIGHTMARE!

I also heard he was a hothead and her text to him was telling- sometimes I'm afraid of the way you snap at me- or something to that effect. I agree he could be acting (and if he is, he deserves an Academy Award), but he could have also woken up terrified and vulnerable (I don't think he slept with his prosthetics) and just grabbed his gun and fired.

Think about how vulnerable any of us would feel in bed at night if we couldn't just leap up and run. Also, he may have felt a target because of his celebrity. I'm really torn on this one.

Maybe this was addressed already, but if he woke up to noises and his live-in girlfriend was not sleeping next to him, wouldn't it be obvious that it was her in the bathroom? He said he was trying to protect her, but where did he think she was at the time? I believe they slept in the same bed, so he would have known immediately upon waking that she was missing. That's why I'm just not buying the intruder defense.

I didn't know about the texts. I haven't followed this trial enough to give a good educated opinion it seems.

If he is found innocent maybe acting should be his next adventure.

I agree.

I am glad I am not that Judge or her two assistants. He has really shown his emotions even to the point of vomitting multiple times. Do I believe him? Not sure that I do with his other antics involving guns. JMHO and my two cents are not worth much LOL.

I am too. I think his fear and panic is because his you-know-what is on the line, and not because the killing was an accident. He's been known to fire guns in the air before and his temper is legendary, so he was an accident waiting to happen.

Most of us would assume we would know the person next to us in bed, wasn't in the bed. However, she didn't live there, so it's not like he has someone next to him night after night. Could he have been woken by the noise and just went into terror mode? Or been in that state of confusion you sometimes feel when you're woken up suddenly?

I am also looking forward to the cross examination.
