Ordering from Amazon

This was my 1st time. Ordered a bird feeder that qualified for free shipping plus 2 books. One book is coming from Amazon & the other from a 3rd party vendor. Why am I being charged shipping when they'll probably all ship together? I'm not going to fall for that again.
