@Roz123456 The vaccine does not completely prevent covid--I got covid just a few months after my second shot, and know others who have gotten it even after being boosted. I never ordered any of the tests...it's just DH & me, and we are mostly stay-at-home. I don't "worry" about getting covid, but others who are in the high risk category may very well be worried about it.

Everyone should do what they feel is best for themselves regarding covid.

Re: Ordering Home Covid Tests

They are free meaning no upfront costs at your pharmacy. Health insurers still pay for them as they do for vaccine. Participating pharmacies submit the claim for you or you can submit it yourself except Medicare recipients (the pharmacy must submit)

Might not want to spread false information, get the facts. The vaccine isn't effective, did you not hear about JB and Dr. JB? They claimed to have had both vaccines and both boosters.

Re: Ordering Home Covid Tests

The COVID vaccine IS an effective vaccine in that you can get the disease but it will be a lesser case.  It's the same with the flu vaccine and as a matter of fact the COVID vaccine has a higher efficacy rate.

testing  has nothing to do with the vaccine but more for the protection of others and if you get COVID, you would want to know so that you or a loved one can get early treatment. We don't know who will get mild symptoms or if some progress to a more severe form of the disease, be hospitalized and die.  So you would certainly want to know your COVID status if you have symptoms or a loved one does.

I test myself before I travel and twice after I return on day 3 & 5

if I am going to be in contact with a high risk person I test myself and Wear a mask; I have a friend I lunch with who had a double transplant.

I test myself before a big event and twice after I attend

I am vaccinated and double boosted.

we have a flu vaccine and a test for flu & Covid is no different.  There is a place for testing even with an effective vaccine.
