Ordering Home Covid Tests

Sorry, didn't know if thsi should be here or Wellness.

I had a minor situation which caused me to be in the hospital for the last 2 days, just got home.

Would someone be kind enough to give me the proper place to order these tests before Friday?

I do have a couple but would like to have a couple more...just in case.

@Love my grandkids - I ordered another set last night, before they end the program.

I have someone coming to visit for three weeks in Sept./Oct., so I think it's a good idea to have them on hand.

You can get free COVID tests, 8 per month from approved pharmacies as long as the emergency public health status is in effect. You can get 8 every month via your insurance including Medicare with no upfront payment. Or you can pay for your kit and submit to your private insurance co or HSA account. For Medicare, the pharmacy must submit the charge.

I ordered mine for August online at Walgreens. CVS also participates. You go online to your choice of pharmacy website and fill in your insurance information & you will be informed if your insurance covers or not but most big pharmacies do participate and private group insurances are mandated to cover the charge. Medicare mandated coverage as of 4/22.

I ordered mine online and picked them up two hours later. I think in some pharmacies, Medicare recipients must go in person. I did not, only for pick up.

If you’ve received your allotment from the federal program, you will not be sent additional tests.
