Asking for help for her friends in Dickinson, three ladies, one of whom is 97.
The communities are wonderful ♥️

Social Media really has helped, if not saved, so many people.
Next time before someone complains about 'today's technology',
I hope they reflect upon all these Twitter/Facebook posts
during this time.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT! @sidsmom
Word is out already that the ladies have been rescued. Audra has more than 193,000 followers. It IS amazing how social media can help.

DD gets onto me because I believe in informing people. In the process sometimes people misinterpret (they don't fully READ) my posts and think that I am in the middle of the storm.
'Oh well, the more information that is spread, the better.
If I were sitting on a rooftop, waiting to be rescued, I doubt very seriously that I would be chatting on FB.
So I feel I am helping by informing.
If more people were aware of the detailed dangers of staying during a bad hurricane, perhaps more would be saved.

Hi @LTT1
They aren't chatting.
They are sending out desperate calls for help and both strangers and neighbors are rushing to help them.

I would use any platform that works!
During the tornado super outbreak in 2011, we found out we couldn't make calls on our cells phones but texting worked.
I used Twitter and Facebook very little back then but if i needed help and I still had some charge on my phone I would use anything possible to either get rescued myself or try to get my family rescued.
Bless Audra and prayers up for Texas
