This little guy is wearing his "Mod" hat ....
(I am fascinated by the various reasons why moderators decide to Deep 6 a topic!)

@Cakers3 wrote:Many, many friends offline-from all walks of life, from different perspectives.
I've walked with them and they with me through good times, illness, and death.
Some I've lost contact with through the years but I cherish their memories.
Cyber friends here have also come and gone but that's ok.
And I also learned, sadly, the dear @croemer enjoys Whataburger. ROTFL!
OMG my car has been pulling in Whataburger direction for a week now. I am weakening. Love that place!!!!
It would be nice to have a couple of cups with all on the boards:
a cup of coffee; and
a cupcake

Been around here for a long time and have met many here I consider to be good friends. Two of them are no longer living, and to me it was a great loss to myself, and everyone that visits this Bulletin Board. My wife and myself have met one member and her husband in person a few years ago.
Like most that have added to this thread, I have learned things by reading from others opinions and real life experiences. This BB is a snapshot of the real world, as I see it, and there are both good and bad events that do happen. The big majority of regular contributors I have found to be very nice and welcoming to all opinions and comments.
My 2 primary forums are Electronics/Wellness and Sports. In those forums I try to share with others my experiences, some learned over many decades of interest and involvement, others I have experienced just by living a long and, and interesting life, to me anyway.
I cannot end this post with out saying how happy I am that experiences I shared on the Wellness forum played a very small part of Trinity1 being able to recognize she needed immediate help. For her to mention that is very humbling for me.
Kudos to @cherry for starting this great and reflective thread.

I have found I can find an answer to just about anything on this board. Just post a question about a TV show, a health procedure, a grammar question, or anything. I've won (and lost) several bets with DH with help from this wonderful group of people.

I am a relatively new poster to the boards. I came on initially to comment on my views of Lori Goldstein and her line, LOGO. I had watched a long time and found myself commenting at times outloud when no one else was here at home!
What I learned very, very quickly was how one particular poster is the gate-keeper of the line, and she is pretty hostile and takes everything personally. Good lord!
I found it somewhat amusing because I have purchased a lot of D and C and there have been many negative comments about that line. Who cares?
Also, on the pet forum I have received comments from posters that have helped me a great deal. I have sat reading and crying from responses that helped when we have gone through some tough times with our dogs. Last Feb, when we had to put our yellow lab down, I read and reread responses. I am forever thankful to all those posters. Now, with our son's dog, I have received such wonderful comments, advice, opinions from people with experience and knowledge.
Also, I find myself connecting with several posters. I enjoy it.
I also found a recipe for Brown Sugar Fudge that I made this Christmas and it was wonderful. There are a lot of helpful, thoughtful people on these boards.

I don't know about the "best," but one thing I learned that helped me shop smarter is that there are two summer seasons...early summer when the dreaded (for me) pastel/Easter colors come out along with short sleeves and sleeveless tops in flimsy material. I used to either buy tops I wasn't in love with just to have summery things to wear or just give up altogether on summer tops until I learned that there is a late summer season with darker colors, heavier (but still lightweight) material, and longer sleeves YAY!
Also, from @Bird mama I learned that it's always about the shoes lol! ![]()

Except for a few, I enjoy all the different perspectives and personalities. And the laughs are good for the soul.

Who can top John saving Trinity1? He changed a life because he posts on this board. And, thank --- Trinity1 read it. Awesome.
For me personally I have learned so much from Lola and her posts. She finds QVC and random items. She is a wonderful teacher. Thank you, Lola,

Hi. How did you make fun with an anonymous poster? I'm really curious because I thought everyone was anonymous on the boards.
