Seven years ago we moved from sw lower michigan to the Tampa Bay area. August 7. When we arrived i thought I would croak from the heat and humidity. I wondered if we had made a big mistake. Now im totally acclimated to the central Florida climate. I easily handle the summers and LOVE winter here. In Michigan the fall season (all three weeks of it) meant many days spent on leaf removal which my husband hated. And always the underlying dread that five to six months of winter would follow. Imagine not having sun for most of that time. So depressing. I was diagnosed with a Vit D deficiency when I got to Florida.

I can't imagine a better place to have retired.

I've been in Florida all my life and I love it!

Glad you enjoy it also!

It has been hot and humid here in NE PA for days.

My daughter went out this morning to run errands and get a few groceries.  I heard the door when she got home and the, "Ugh, it is #&%@ out!.  Yep.  I stayed home.  Petunia, DD'd 6 yr. old cat, is all discombobulated, we had to put my 17 yr. old cat down Wed. night and Petunia keeps walking around looking for her. I think she misses her housemate.

Not a fan of winter but don't want to live in soup (extreme heat & humidity, like the south) all summer or a dry heat where you can cook on the sidewalk.  I see no point living where there is no winter if you have to stay in AC for months to be comfortable and avoid heat stroke.

To each his own I guess.

I live just north of Boston on the coast. High humidity and a cool breeze is weird. My hair does well, gives it a bit of body but my feet are cold. I do love all four seasons here but not all in the same week! I can never leave home with the same outfit I started with. Gotta love New England.

My body does not get along with humidity but my hair is in love.  Humidity does for my hair what every product out there claims it can do for fullness and volume.  And it is FREE!!!

If you live on Cape Ann I envy you!  Ii is one of my favorite places in the country.  I LOVE the New England coast.  When I was a kid my family used to spend 2 weeks in Rockport during the summer.

It's been very hot and humid here in SC. My hair doesn't fall flat in our humidity but grows out sideways and nothing can corral it in. Yesterday afternoon when I walked out, the air was so humid that it felt real strange, almost like nothing could even move through it. About 15 minutes later, we had the worst thunder and lightning storm I'd seen since last summer, feeling like the atmosphere just needed a release. The best thing about the humidity, which I'll never get used to, is that everything I touch doesn't shock me. Also, the plants and flowers seem to think they're living in a rainforest and that makes them happy.

I live about an hour south of Cleveland Ohio.  There is absolutely no reason for me to know what it is like to live in a pot of boiling soup but here I am.  Smiley Sad

Yes we do! It is lovely here. We have beaches, great seafood and the prettiest fall foliage. I come from Salem originally. Too touristy now.
