Day 2 of no power. Need to get out and do some charging of my chargers and electronic devices. How is everyone else doing today? Got power?

Oh @sunshine45 I’m so sorry! We are fine here a little south of you. I heard on the radio that there are so many still without power in our state up to MA.  Hope you got another box of joe this morning!

Here at the Jersey Shore, yesterday was a day from HELL!  We lost power.  My husband was in the city and I could not work the generator.  He finally got home very early this AM and we snuggled through the rest of night without heat.

This morning the sun was shining and lights (and TV) all over the house were on!

There are shingles off the house and a tree down in back but it is a glorious day.

Here in PA,  we lost power Fri. at 1 p.m. and had it restored sometime over the early 

hours this morning.

Glad this storm is over! So many trees down in the wooded area in which we live.

We just tried to go shopping. HA! We first went to PetSmart for dog food - closed. Then we went to ShopRite for people food - closed. Then we went to PetCo for dog food - Closed. Gave up and came home.

The only stores open that we saw, were several restaurants. Three opened within the last year, so I suspect they have new back up generators. The line for Chic-Fi-La was crazy long. 

I don't understand we are usually are the first to lose power and the last to get it back on. And we are an island that has power and all around us does not.

We were out for about four hours yesterday - really fortunate (Piedmont of VA).  The house appears intact.  What a wind.

There are still people around us out, and some are not due to be back up 'til Monday!

Thanks @Mj12.....yes we got a box of Starbucks Coffee today. Sunday at 8am will start day 3 without power. Free frozen food tomorrow for anyone who wants to stop by! I am so over this. Hope everyone is warm and safe.

I lost power for 30 hours and got it back this morning around 1 AM.  DH mentioned the all the candle lanterns I bought from QVC came in handy.

Into day 5 of no power. They are saying sometime tomorrow. The house has been at around 55 during the day and about 50 at night. Snow and or rain moving in tonight in the Maryland area. We have been eating out every night. I am so over this. Cannot believe it has taken this long.

@sunshine45 I am stunned you still have no power.  We were without for 7 days but that was years ago during El Derecho (and far more widespread damage than this).  I am so, so sorry.
