I love oatmeal-----and eat it often. Love it with a bunch of  stuff in it--nuts, fruit, yogurt, and with milk and brown sugar overtop. I often eat it for my dinner.Have made it on the stove, in the micro and in my pressure cooker. I only eat the old fashioned oats. Got a small package of a cereal blend . and mix that in too. Delish!!!

I think we did just milk and sugar. Now it's instant brown  sugar and no milk.

Same with me then and now.

I love my oatmeal.  I make Bob's Redmill rolled oats.  I add a little almond milk and cinnamon.

I like mine plain, nothing but a lump of butter while it's cooking on the stove.

Those instant packets, you might as well just eat the envelope they come in.

I love oatmeal, I never buy the instant, and I buy a big bag of Bob's Red Mill oats. Non GMO, cooks in 10 minutes. I make a big batch and eat it every morning at least 5 out of 7 days. I add a couple different fresh fruits and some cinnamon and Almond Milk. Helps with high Cholesterol, tastes great, and keeps me full a long time too. It's good cold too, mixed with some vanilla yoghurt and fruit.

Steel cut oats for me every other day with just a banana.  I need to keep my cholesterol in check and I refuse to take meds for it.  So my healthy diet, to include oatmeal and cutting out a lot of stuff along with daily workouts, has allowed me to accomplish this.

I probably haven't had a "heart attack" breakfast in 15 years!

@KittySoftPaws  Well, I have heart disease in my family so I'm not taking any chances.  Trying to keep it clean! No deli or restaurant food unless it's a salad.  Just smart choices that clearly work for me.

Ah, oatmeal. I love it on a cold winter morning. I put sugar free maple syrup on mine. I try to do the long cooking type, but if in a hurry, the instant microwave type is better than nothing.  With theis egg/chicken "thing", oatmeal is sounding like a good alternative.
