O/T Need advice for 2 gifts

My husband and I received 2 college graduation announcement in the mail. They are for 2 niece/nephew.

The announcement did NOT come from either of the graduates, but from the mom/dad. The 2 "kids" are married and have families of their own. I know one is employed and has an excellent job, the other not sure.

The 2 graduates have not been close to us. They all live on the west coast,including mom/dad, we are living on the east coast.

My husband I have been thinking, are gifts really needed for either graduate.??? Will a card be OK???

What kind of gift is needed, if any??? Thanks for your input.
