@JoyFilled Warrior   I'm sorry this is happening to you. Truthfully, I have never heard of anything like this but one of the hardest lessons I had to learn in my life was:  We teach people how to treat us.

Stop this kind of behavior TODAY. Don't allow it anymore. I am just appalled that anyone would do this....wow, the world has changed!

If someone came into my place and picked smething up and said they could use that item I'd tell them where I got it. I wouldn't assume it meant they would take it. And the kids enjoying your envelopes sounds sweet. They are kids. I'd get them a couple of their own to keep.

I could be wrong about the assisted living thing.  I seem to remember when this poster was MakeupMaven, she was packing all her things and getting ready to move.  I could have sworn it was some sort of assisted type living.  Maybe it was just downsizing.

Anyhoo, it is still a strange post.  And the OP hasn't returned.  Big surprise.

This poster had a similar post in August.  She said she lives in an apartment near the pool.  Anyway same "story" about kids behavior, she has them take her garbage, they want to  use her bathroom and so on.

Poster writes nonsense stories and watches how people respond, sometimes for days.  

Poster had the "Guilt" thread where everyone tried to help and advise, it was really a political thread and poster got satisfaction as everyone tried to help her with her guilt.

@persiflage, I don't normally read this OP's threads since they don't ring true, don't know why I read this one, nor why I responded. There are several posters that do this same type thing on this board, seems like it's a weird competition for them to see who gets the most hearts or comments. I'm going back to my normal routine of not playing their game, lol.

I find this post quite odd. First of all, this has never happened to me to the degree this person says it has to her.

It is easily solveable so I think op seems overly angered for so many things and at so many people. In this case it seems she needs to calm down and not let her anger consume her....which it seems to be doing. 

Living in this much anger does harm to you and those that enter. Not good. Sounds very unusual to me so I'm questioning motive here....or maybe even a medical

problem. The anger just doesn't seem to fit the "crime" so to speak.

I go through the same thing. 

I just believe it's bad upbringing, no class, and yes, entitlement. 

I don't like any of my things handled and touched.

I especiallydon't like to be asked about how much I paid for every little item.  It's none of their business. 

Borrowing items?  No.  I feel that they need to get up off their backsides, go to work to earn money , and buy what they want.

@Snicks1 Agree. Some of her posts seem to be creative writing school assignments. How much are reality, I have my doubts.
