The worst "offense" that happened in my home: some people came to visit with their little boy. The little boy had a remote control toy car with a camera on it that what was filmed could be viewed remotely. We were sitting in the living room. The child remotely ran his car all through the house filming the rooms and the father said (get this) now we can see if you have any dust under your furniture.

I don't get a lot of visitors but when I do, nobody touches anything. They may comment they like something but I've never had anyone just grab anything.

I'm not sure I would try to shame a person, such as your post above, meaning, "shake the bony finger" at them, when the person asked for help.

Read your history.

The Roman Empire was full of self.

We call it CHUTZPAH but it's really indulgent....in self.

Since you are so full of laughter you might want to bounce out in what's around you

and see similarities.

It's not funny. It's not flattering. Our country is a out of people who have this bold chutzpah ALL OF SELF.

I find it embarrassing and ignorant.

The Roman Empire was a culture. They were bold and they lived in the edge.

Money, greed, sensuality, living for the moment.

Maybe you won't find boldness so funny until our country slips further and you actually either notice or are affected.

The first thing I would recommend is to get the BF out of his chair and let HIM or the parent speak to the child. If that isn't possible for him to do I would direct him and them to a nearby park or pizza joint and tell him to entertain them THERE. As for the rest of those guests, I am speechless.
