I too have had items sitting in the post office for days.  However, I am understanding of how many more packages they have had to deliver during these times of online orders.  I am appreciative of the post office.  What other service can you count on to deliver your mail right to your house every day regardless of the weather.  Waiting a few extra days is the least of my worries during these times.

I've never had a problem with the USPS --- it's still a bargain - and they're obviously over-whelmed. Be patient in these horrible times in America.

There's a combination of events happening. One is personnel calling off unexpectedly due to either being exposed to covid or being diagnosed. Now, the post office has to be disinfected as well as test other empoyees and the truck the carrier was driving also has to be disinfected.

When I have a package delivered ONLY by USPS, I get them in a timely manner.

Those who use UPS/FedEx to transfer their packages to USPS, I generally have at least a 2-day period where the package says it's sitting at the post office.

That's what I had.  2 days wait.  Now it's a week wait.
