I live in the country with woods on three sides and across from a field usually planted in corn or soybeans.

I have a cat who pretty much runs things here...she's inside or outside at her pleasure.

It was a while since I'd had a mouse in the house until last fall when she brought one in.  I was able to step on it's tail and get it into a jar and put it outside.

Now I check her mouth before I let her in.

when i lived at home parents had mice.. field mice they lived out and had nothing but woods all around them... i hated seeing mice in the house.. i moved and thought thank god no mice i'm in an apt on the 3rd floor.. its a old house over 100 yrs old... saw my 1st mouse about 2 yrs ago... i called the landlord and complaoned.. i bought snap traps the next day... would up catching 6  in like 3 days!!! i was sick!! after complaining to landlord months later he finally gets a guy in here who sets up the bait stations.... but of course landlord is lazy and doesnt wanna pay to have him keep coming back all the time... i was still complaining to landlord and he brings over "cotton with peppermint oil on it"  of course the cheap way out!  with that it doesnt work and u have to keep putting it on the ball every few days.. waste of my time and he puts like 6 all around my apt........ i threw them out........ i took it upon myself to go online, read reviews and get my own bait boxes that come with keys and got my own bait that way i can refill and keep checking them. they come with a special key to open it.. only been over a month... doesnt look like the bait is chewed on and i havent seen any mice, no droppings at all.. i look all the time.... but im sure they are still here.. mice freak me out.. they may be cute, but not inside you house.... when ur house is over 100 yrs old they can get in anywhere... i still wake up and turn the lights on to check  lol as long as i dont see any and dont find any droppings i guess im happy... but i still think i must have them... even if they eat the bait still takes them a few days to die.. and i dont smell anything like a dead mouse.. ughhhh my friend just said the other day that she trapped 2 in her house... so alot of people have them... i keep my place so clean and nice.. to see mice in it upsets me.. makes me feel so dirty..........

It's gross to realize you have mice, BUT if you live next to farm land, it happens.

  Ants don't bother me.

  I can't stand roaches, though - UGH. So sickening....thank goodness I haven't seen a roach in years.

And possums are disgusting. It's hard to believe there are some people who actually keep them as pets!
