Re: New Year’s Resolutions for 2018?

@software Your post made me chuckle...I am around a few younger guys, too. Hang in there! You are almost there! Lots of luck in 2018 as this will be an exciting year for you.

Re: New Year’s Resolutions for 2018?

To start taking better care of myself, start doing yoga again, and stay away from these forums. Too much stress, drama, sadness, and craziness. I have enough of that in real life without reading it here.

I promise to remind myself every day that I am strong, courageous, and resilient.

Re: New Year’s Resolutions for 2018?

@luvdoodles  I have been down the road you are on and just want to wish you the best.  I also was going through treatment 3 years ago at Christmastime.  I did a lot of reading during that time in between naps!  Had the Q on in the background but with the sound off! I find if I'm not listening I'm not as interested.   Good luck to you and please know there is a light at the end of that tunnel.........I am cancer free and feel great.  God bless and Merry Christmas.

My resolution is to get back on an exercise program and to have more patience with people.

Re: New Year’s Resolutions for 2018?

If you think about it... EVERYDAY is the first day of the rest of your life....

You can make major changes every day.... even it the day before you failed miserably.... if you look at a new start as everyday...  you just pick up and start again.... no failures for starting resolutions on Jan 1 and feeling you must stick with the program for an entire year.

.   This is what I decided to start doing... I was going to start a weight loss journey on Jan 1, but I decided to not wait and start it right away... and use the everyday is a new day theory.

I wake up each day not and say to myself "THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE... how can I improve on myself and my life today?"  Usually I can accomplish at least one goal and I feel good when my head hits the pillow.

Thank you for your kind words of engouragement. I am almost done, just one more chemo tomorrow then 5 more days of radiation. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Scans in 3 months to get a clean bill of health, I am very optomistic. Glad for you and your good news. It's not easy but doable. Have a happy healthy new year.
