My resolution is to make only one resolution and work at making it stick.

As for the jigsaw, I live with high achievers so it felt great to find the odd piece during the day. I may find a 100 piece one to do on my own to continue this journey of pats on the back instead of being too critical on myself. Btw, the 1000 piece jigsaw was finished with one piece missing! The high achievers were upset while I glided through the result unfeathered. They are going to Walmart tomorrow to buy the same one to find the missing piece.
Just thought of another resolution ...laugh more.
And this is why I do all my jigsaw puzzles online. Never end up missing a piece! ![]()

I like making them. Not like anyone is forcing me to do the things I say. Just for me.
I do puzzles during the winter months. For Xmas I received a puzzle board with drawers. I needed something because of my two cats who like to mess it up for me. Also three new puzzles to do. So happy on that. Not a goal just commenting on others comments. To me it is relaxing.

I don't bother to make resolutions.

@meallen616 In addition to the one resolution I resolve for 2023, I have way too many of what you call casual promises. Love that term and like you, I am not promising myself I can achieve them. That's why I refuse to call them resolutions.

I like to call my resolutions Proclamations. Sounds way more Majestic and Important. Haha I feel like I need a gilt-edged scroll to write them on.
your responses are fun, interesting and some are inspiring, like oh I want to do that too!
Forgot to mention one of my biggest goals- become fluent in Spanish. I'm building on the knowledge base I already had, with a comprehensive language learning app (Babbel) I work on the lessons daily. Currently deep into grammar and verb usage/conjugations.
There's a huge Hispanic population in my area. I run into them regularly st both of my volunteer jobs. My goal is to be able to communicate easily with those folks in their own language.

I don't need the pressure of sticking to a resolution.
