Wouldn't that make it easy for someone to open?  I've had many packages over the years with tire marks.  Would the contents now be destroyed?  I like the idea,

I don't see how paper packaging solves any problem . When it rains / snows items ccan be damaged .

Maybe its waterproof tearproof paper?  It does exist.

I *think* the poster means that the actual clothing item is wrapped in paper instead of being inside a plastic bag. The shipping package would remain the same, but clothing will not be in a plastic bag.

@depglass   You're correct.  It is the outside wrapping that is paper and was lined with some material for cushioning and maybe waterproofing.

@Mimi 1883   No, the item was still in plastic but the mailing envelope was paper.

I like it!!

Unless it is very different than anything I have seen, this is a very bad thing. All of the padded packaging I have seen cannot he recycled. As much as I dislike plastic packaging, it can be recycled.

Put me in the very bad idea column.  Can you imagine a paper package that UPS tosses on your porch on a rainy or snowy day and it's there for a few hours?  Or package that has been tossed around and taken a beating during transport?  I have received plastic bags that look like they have been through a war but inside everything is in pristine condition.
