Perhaps they could save money by cutting loose some of the non-productive dead weight they've partnered with in recent times... No names please, nor are any names really necessary... Smiley Surprised

With all these streaming services its too much competition and some services are losing out....when you start to add up the charges it all starts inching towards what you paid for cable when you add in your internet costs......Apple TV isnt doing well either......

I read awhile back that they were thinking of doing this as well as stopping allowing subscription sharing which really made a bunch of people mad.

We still use DirecTV.  My husband wants to cut the cord, but I'm not up on streaming and how to get it to the TV and I like to just browse what's on sometimes.  Plue, I like to watch College Football and I'm not sure how to get that.  I've told my husband by the time you buy into all these different streaming services to get what you want, you'll end up paying just as much as you were already paying for cable/satellite service.

@Icegoddess @Hello There. We still have DirectV by satellite too. My husband watches on the TV and I watch on the iPad. I also watch HBO MAX, which comes with the DirecTV subscription. If you want to get DTV for less, call their region line and say you're thinking of quitting. They will knock at least $50 a month off your bills for a year depending on the package you have. They knocked more for me when I called, but I can't remember how much. Same for my friend when she called them.

If you have a smart TV, streaming is the easiest thing on earth. If you decide to try one service, we'll all lend you a hand here in getting you started. If you don't have a smart TV you will need a Roku or one of those type of devices.

Thanks, @Mindy D .  We do have a SmartTV.  It's not one of the newer ones, but it is a SmartTV.

My pet hate with Netflix is that they don't tell you if a movie is a foreign langiage movie.  Looking at the names of the actors is a clue, but not always.  I know there are sub titles. Or dubbing, but my husbanf cant read subtitles quickly enough.  Make it a separate category please Netflix!

And its just gonna get worse because the actors are quite upset that first run movies are also available more and more "on demand" from different services, so the actors, (and Im not naming names) said that this is impacting them since they dont get paid as much when this happens.....WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD GOLLYWOOD......when will the telethons start for the actors....the poor things (pardon the pun)

@Spurt some actors would get percentage points for a film and make the bulk of their money that way. I find it hard to muster up any sympathy for these celebrities when real people are struggling to make ends meet in this economy, do I buy food for my family or get my medication?

Did Netflix consider pehaps viewers are leaving because it is the junk they are showing and the upcoming junk by and about subjects and persons that nobody cares to watch????? Maybe? 'Ya think?

@Sooner   You said it!   There is objectionable "stuff" on Netflix I refuse to watch...waiting to see what more "stuff" will be in lineup..that will be the deciding factor to keep or cancel. We all have the ability to pass up what we deem to be garbage, if it gets to be offensive to me, I refuse to pay for garbage just to see other programs, I will cancel!  Netflix eliminated the ability to comment/review programs, so that which a subscriber might find objectionable is being presented and we cannot comment...the only option is to tolerate or cancel!  Also tiring of the excess volume of foreign-language and/or dubbed programs/films since much of them are so inferior, they are not worth viewing!
