With all these streaming services its too much competition and some services are losing out....when you start to add up the charges it all starts inching towards what you paid for cable when you add in your internet costs......Apple TV isnt doing well either......

I watch FREEVEE, has ads, but depending on what movie, not that long.  Of course the movies are not up to date like Netflex, but I haven't seen a lot of them.

When I cut the cord with comcast, I will then be able to subscribe to these other apps.

Yep, there's Freevee, Crackle, Tubi TV free but with commercials....

I wish mine were just 100 a month.  I only have 20 hours DVR, by cutting a lot out for 154.00 a month.  

I remember when cable came out in my area and my son went to work for them 45 years ago, 1976-77.  I paid nothing.

We didn't have DVR, so had to watch ads.  He was 19. He is now 65 really to retire from the cable company.  

I had to start paying as the cable company kept growing.

Thirty six dollars at first.

Oh well, next year, I'm cutting cable and just keep the internet.

Exactly, I was a NetFlix subscriber for years. There is a certain low price point where you think no big deal for a few dollars.

By the time I finally cancelled my subscription last year. I believe I was up to almost $11.00. I don't watch enough to pay that every month.

What I do now is I wait until a few shows that I want to watch are available join for a month watch my shows and then cancel.

I read awhile back that they were thinking of doing this as well as stopping allowing subscription sharing which really made a bunch of people mad.  

We still use DirecTV.  My husband wants to cut the cord, but I'm not up on streaming and how to get it to the TV and I like to just browse what's on sometimes.  Plue, I like to watch College Football and I'm not sure how to get that.  I've told my husband by the time you buy into all these different streaming services to get what you want, you'll end up paying just as much as you were already paying for cable/satellite service.

Aside from sports, I pretty much only watch streaming. Even NFL Monday night is on Amazon this fall.

The only way you save by cutting the cord is if your State doesnt charge taxes for streaming services, and other fees cable may charge for programming/sports.....And sadly if you dont have cable its difficult to watch live sports like college football, NFL football, or NBA basketball....My sister switched to You Tube now she cant watch any of our NBA Spur's games even with the NBA Pass through the NBA.....
