Not to be a 'Debbie Downer', but....

Some people might have various food restrictions re: spices, sugar, chocolate, and a multitude of other regular ingredients which could upset their tummies in a variety of ways.  (my experience re: other people's experiences)

So, I give out gift cards, and I very, very

much appreciate gift gards that I receive.

And, as others have mentioned, a nice thank you note is always appreciated.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I have read all of these and again I would say offer to chip in on somethings for the lawn care that he can use both lawns.

To me that is not "paying" him and puts that issue off the table.  It is expensive to care for a lawn, so a little useful contribution, even if it is just buying some trash bags you know he uses, means you appreciate his efforts.

Do you have a hose, or does he have to move one?  Maybe a tool he uses looks like it might need to be replaced, etc.  Gloves I would think would be appreciated--my dad farmed and bought them by the box.

I dig the WEEDS out of my  neighbor's yard.   She always thanks me.

Ummm...a "thank you",  is FINE with me, (and the weeds don't spread over to MY yard, either).

Re: Neighbors help

[ Edited ]

Give Gift Card...personally I don't like taking food from other people.  A gift card would be so appreciated in the times we're in right now.  You have a wonderful neighbor and you sound so thankful...wonderful you have help.

@Patriot3 - did you do something for him the other years he helped you?

If you did, was it well received?

If it was, do that again.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
