Wait a minute, why any one is talking about tracking her down,is just way over the top,  not called for, i do think she should call the police ,and really check what is going on with this man,something is wrong.

Another thought for consideration.

 

What if Drizzella entered her neighbor's house and found him deceased but has not been emotionally ready to deal with it here? People vary widely in their response to a traumatic event.

 

All of us agree that finding a person unresponsive and saying all is well makes no sense. Maybe she wrote that to not have to deal with it at that time.

 

If that was the case, I assume the police would have been called. On TV police shows not doing anything is very common. Moves the plot forward. I have no idea how often it happens in real life.
