Ever since Meta was ordered to pay 17 billion dollars to keep children safe I have had a problem signing in to Facebook.  I have 2 devices - a laptop and a desktop.  When I try to sign in to Facebook on my laptop I get a screen that I must sign in on another device, and if I don't have another device they can't help me!  They give me a code number to put in  on the desktop. That means I have to go down to the basement and sign in on the desktop first.  Then I need to put in the code number and the laptop upstairs comes on.  This is becoming a problem since I have to go up and down  2 flights of stairs to do this.  I am a senior citizen so going up and down the stairs  wears me out.  This has been happening for the last 3 days.  Today it happened 3 times!  Most of my family work with computers, but they don't know what to do.  I have gone through all the preferences on Facebook , but can't find a solution.  Anyone else having this problem?

@daisy4   one of my pet peeves. Signing in with codes!  Can't you take laptop with you, and sign in when you are upstairs?  I don't know what device you have, but can you sync the devices?  I have mini iPad, larger IPad, and my phone.  They are all synced.  I have my phone with me, so I check though that. It is a pain. American Express, and health group app have started this.  Amex is really bad, the process is so redundant.  New safety features I guess.  I defriended myself from Facebook years ago, lol lol. I do without it.

I'm having issues too. I can't post to friends' pages or comments. It freezes up on me. I'm about as far as one can get from being underage.

I did think of carrying the laptop downstairs.  I tried it but there is a problem.  I am a senior citizen and I need to hold the railing when I go up and downstairs.  That was difficult while carrying the laptop.

@daisy4 ..I hear you about holding on to rail.  I have mobility issues, and can't get up stairs. We installed stair master, saved  my life at this 2 story home of 40 yrs. But even then I mke sure I always have pockets or a small tote because...once I come downstairs I don't go back til evening. I bring my laptop, meds, and a few things down every morning. It is near impossible to hold all these things and get out of stairmaster chair.. to grap walker lol. How is it I never thought of these things when I was young?   lol! Probably because I thought once I got older, how bad could it be?  Wrinkles? Arthritis?   Who knew, lol!
