@Scooby Doo - I agree that it's a good idea to actually look at the different models whichever brand you're going with, to make sure it fits your needs.

My Bosch fits everything we have, even extra-large platters and pots and has dual sprayers (top and bottom).  Everything is dry, when it comes out.  Also, the all stainless steel interior was non-negotiable for me.

It pays to compare.

@coffee drinker In addition to Bosch, you should also research Miele dishwashers, which are also German-made.  We've had them for over 20 years and are more than happy with their products.

I just got a new KitchenAid 3 rack dishwasher last fall & have been very pleased with it.  This is my 2nd KA & this one is even quieter than the 1st one. The DW that was in the house when I moved in was a builder grade GE & it sounded like a semi when it ran, it was awful.

I ordered all new appliances on 9/10/20 after my microwave died & I decided to change from bisque appliances to SS, since bisque is no longer made by most companies.  So far, I have the over the range microwave (thank goodness, since it was dead) & the dishwasher & am still waiting for my new French door fridge & gas range to get here.

My salesman has stayed on top of bugging KA to find out when they might arrive, though he said all the companies are having problems.  The originally delivery time frame for my stuff was Oct., then, Nov, then Dec. & he called me this past week & said "maybe" they'll get here by the end of this month, but no guarantees.  The problem is getting the parts that are made overseas.  I asked him what delivery dates are they giving to customers now, since they're having a big sale that's advertised on local TV & he said that they're not giving delivery dates at all anymore, just that it may be 2 weeks, 2 months or 6 months, it's dependant on the manufacturer & he said all of them are having troubles.

I'm thankful that what died was my microwave & not my fridge, since I'd still be waiting for the new one 4 months later.

We had a Bosch in a rental and we loved it.  If we ever need a new dishwasher, that's what we'll get.

We bought stainless steel GE at Home Depot a year or two ago. Love it. So quiet. Has a top rack for lids, utensils, etc. Great choice.

Am I the only person who never uses my dishwasher?  It is just DH and I. We wash the dishes as we use them. They dry on a dish rack. Can not imagine  having to fill up a dishwasher to run it.  I would run out of dishes😄

@SeaMaiden  What about pots, pans and cooking utensils? I just have a pet peeve about dishes in the sink or on the counter, forgive me.

@panda1234   We wash the dishes.  Stack them....pots and pans are just towel dried. Put the others away when dry. No big deal.  Does not bother me to have clean dishes on the dish rack. Why would it?
