Need Trac Phone Recommendation

I thought I would like to try a Trac Phone, as I only need one for emergencies & am tired of paying monthly charges & signing contracts. If any of you out there have one that you love, I would appreciate your letting me know which one you have. Thanks!

Re: Need Trac Phone Recommendation

Sparkle Babe, I have an LG Trac Phone. I don't see a model number on it, but it is one that has a touch screen. It is easy to use and I like it a lot. I text a little on it and I am tech challenged.

Re: Need Trac Phone Recommendation

My DH has no desire to have a phone that does anything but make and receive calls. He got his tracfone flip phone for $13 plus min. at radio shack.

You can go from that phone to a samsung smartphone with all the bells and whistles. You should check out the tracfone website.

I got into the world of smartphones with a semi smart LG840g and now have an LG olympus.You can go as far as you want with tracfone.

Re: Need Trac Phone Recommendation

I have the Samsung Galaxy Trac Phone that Q had on last Christmas for a TSV. It works fine and the minutes triple every time you add time. As in triple talk, triple text, triple data for the net. (All 3 triple as in each not all together if you get what Im saying). I am like you and only mainly use it for emergencies but it works great. Also when youre at home or near a place that has Wi Fi you don't use minutes to be online.

QVC sells them. Around $80 with 1500 free minutes. So does HSN. I think you get triple minutes each time you buy. I've had my LG for two years. No problem.

E226238 Is currently the best value, IMO, unless you want an Android. 1500 minutes and 1 year of service included. You can get cheaper non Android Tracfone's, but they come with fewer minutes and less service days.

Yep triple minutes. That's the phone I just posted. I have been very happy with Tracfone.

Re: Need Trac Phone Recommendation

I still have an LG Tracphone flip-phone that I bought from either QVC or HSN over 4 years ago, I can text (but I don't), take pictures, etc. It still works fine, if that gives you any indication of the reliability of LG phones. I get double minutes, and since I only use it for emergencies like you, I have more minutes than I know what to do with. But if you get one, you will probably get triple minutes and maybe one year of service time. After that, you can buy 60 minutes for $19.99 and add another year of service time for $49.99, so a total of $70.00 for a whole year of minutes and time for me. Triple minutes means that whenever you add minutes, they triple, so if you buy 60 minutes, you get 180. Mine came with 1200 minutes on it, and right now I have 1400!!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I bought my son one for Christmas almost two years ago similar to the one shown above, also an LG only with a touch screen and triple minutes, and it does so much more than mine. These LG phones are about as reliable as they come, in my opinion, we've never had a minute's trouble with the ones we've had. I know I haven't given you a specific model number, but I hope I've helped with some information and a testimonial for LG phones...we also don't have any problems with "out of service" areas.

LG Tracfone Prepaid Cell Phone w/ 1500 Minutes & Protection Plan

This is the one I have. It was the TSV earlier this month. I usually could careless about the phone as long as it works, but I really like this phone. I switched from the LG840. I didn't care for that phone, but it served my needs.
