Amaz has great selection.

I don't think people use note cards anymore.  That would be another gift that will most likely sit in drawer unused.

I think the Philosophy gift sets are a great idea. I also don't think you have to worry about what is going on right now in regards to giving presents like you always have. You are giving a gift to these women as a Thank You and they will know your heart is in the right place and they will appreciate that you took the time to do something nice for them.

In today's climate?????   I assume he hasn't been giving them lingerie...lol   It's still a matter of common sense and good taste; nothing about that has changed and nothing will change.  Philopsphy sounds like good idea to me although I never give office staff scented products and bath products because women are very particular about what scents they like and what products they use.  I don't want to risk giving them something that they will end up re-gifting or just never using.

OP's (and her husband's) concern in this time of men being brought to task is a very wise thing, and should not be trivialized.

After managing women ( and some men) for many years, I can say that especially in today's climate, if I were a man, I'd be very nervous that just about anything I said or did might be turned against me.

I think many guys are a bit on edge, and rightfully so. Things like this, while bringing to light bad things and initiating change, tend to swing way too far in isolated circumstances, and smart men don't want to do anything that may even remotely taken the wrong way, right now. I can't blame them.

What about something useful?  My husband got me a jar opener from Q recently. It is around $20 and  I really like it. It's so easy to open things. It can work on many sizes

I even use it of fabric softener tops. They come right off

Most women of maturity (over 30) will have a use for a note card now and then. If nothing else but to send a thank you note, or something similar.

I think it is a safe and practical gift, especially the style is chosen with regard to not leaning toward any particular style (kind of neutral if you will).

Such a funny thread,  stretch slippers was really funny.  Granted, there seems to be a generation thing going on here.  However, this is why some of us hate it when we see a co-worker approaching us with a gift....lol

I don't think it's just generational @chrystaltree

Possibly regional, also.

Most office workers love and use hand cream.  How about a Josie Maran Argon Oil hand cream or 2?  Both QVC and Josie's web site still have the 1 oz tube available in scented and unscented for $12.  They are highly rated.  I bought a sampler set before it sold out.  I have been using it and really like it.  Will be putting 2 of them in my DIL's stocking.  You could put a tube of hand cream in a gift bag with a little 2-piece Godiva chocolate sampler.  I would love to get that!
