The outage problem has been all over the news on every news station. Last I heard CrowdStrike software company has found a fix and has launched it. So it's just a matter of time before things return to normal.

@LTT1

Before 5am at PST, I was at the drive thru at Starbucks, she ran my rewards card through and all was fine. I decided to add $$ to it with my debit card and she told me she couldn't complete the transaction. She mentioned Microsoft was down and I would be the last customer for a while.

Starbucks was accepting cash only early this morning. They wrote the order on the cup. I came home to see what was going on and saw the flawed software mentioned.  IT services have been merged like everything else. Not enough providers now to avoid the large scale events.

@Alsace Gal

Sounds like your visit to Starbucks at 5:30 AM put you right in the chaos first thing! LOL NOT FUNNY!❤️

I haven't kept up with any updates, though.

Let's hope for the quick best.

@ROMARY   This morning they were saying it was a computer software problem.

I follow the goings-on in a remote village in Colorado.  The county clerk posted she was unable to process any auto transactions.  It must be nation-wide.

Re: Nationwide IT Outage

I saw this morning that travelers were stuck in airports do to some global glitch but when I read that hours ago I thought it was only air related.

There are people who wanted to eventually have a cashless society. After this, it won't be happening any time soon, if ever.

MSNBC is reporting that the Microsoft OUTAGE is "worldwide" not just nationwide.

Yes, problems throughout the day. Although I believe it's starting to clear up. I went to the library earlier today to pick up a book. They had a sign on the door that computers for patrons use were down. I had a little difficulty trying to check out my book, they were about to resort to the paper method for me. Luckily, they tried two other computers and were finally able to proccess.

Earlier I was attempting to make my car payment online through the credit unions website. The payment would not process. I finally just gave up. I came back an hour later and I was able to complete the transaction.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the outage but I'm getting flooded with spam phone calls today. Maybe the spammers are taking advantage of the situation.
