So very sad that she died so young, she had such a difficult life, so much pain.

 

She'd had kidney trouble and a kidney transplant.  CNN reported that a nurse caring for her a few years ago knew she needed a transplant, and when the nurse's niece died in an accident, the nurse arranged for Natalie to receive the kidney.

This saddens me so much. I was just thinking of her on Christmas Eve and wondered why we had not seen her much since her kidney transplant? I thought of her because I was rating singers who made Christmas special and she was up there with her father, Johnny Mathis, Bing Cosby and the great Andy Williams.Man Sad

@Noel7  I saw her not too terribly long ago on daytime TV. She looked painfully thin but was still smiling and upbeat. She sang and sounded better than I expected but of course not like years ago. I was impressed with her positive attitude and frankness.
