If you enjoy ribs, brisket, Tex-Mex or anything smoked or barbecue, you MUST try Judge Beans.  It's a local restaurant located in Brentwood, just a few miles from downtown.  You'll LOVE ❤️ it!  Best ever, hands down!!!  There's a Corky's on this same exit, but the difference in the food is night and day.

My parents raved about Hattie B's Hot Chicken.  They ate there whenever in Nashville.  But they said it was an hour's wait to be seated.  And you don't have to get the chicken "hot", my mother always ordered "mild".

YES!  Another GREAT restaurant!  Correct about the chicken too.  I love hot foods, so when I even order Mild that's really saying something lol.❤️

I live in Nashville and there are SO many new ones, I can't keep up with all of them. In truth, some of the pricey restaurants that get media attention aren't all that good (like City House, for example). Everyone goes to the Loveless Cafe and, yes, it really is that good and worth the drive out highway 100 (about 20-30 min from downtown). Some of the best places closed during the pandemic and sadly didn't reopen. There are an abundance of new, great restaurants here, though. Enjoy your visit!

Love this thread!  I haven't been to Nashville in years, but we're planning to go for a week this summer to attend a conference.  I'm really looking forward to it.  I always enjoyed our vacations there as a child.  The last time we were there we flew in for the Music City Bowl, so we just ate there at the hotel, the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

Nashville has a lot of great restaurants.  Some of our favorites are Etch. Downtown and etc. in green hills, same chef/owner.  River house downtown has a lot to offer and the bar is all windows so great to people watch.  The Local off west end has great live music and the food is actually pretty good and it's away from the craziness of broadway!   You won't go wrong at any of the restaurants in East Nashville, they are so unique.  If you want a rooftop then Harriet's in the One hotel and LA Jackson are pretty cool.  5th and Broad has many restaurants that are good and Justin Timberlake's place is next door and also good.  Have fun!

I've been to Nashville a few times, can't recall any names of some of the trendy eateries we ate at in town, but all were great.

But two recommendations I can say out of the Broadway area...one for casual, comfort food is "Loveless Cafe'"...it is a "tourist must" for many. Cute, quaint, country cafe, with the BEST biscuits and fried chicken and ALL the fixens, in town. In my iife actually...best fried chicken I've ever had. (not that I know how to make it or have it very often) Not food I'd eat regularly, or if you're "counting every calorie and carb" but as a treat...GO!

Also, we stayed at Gaylord Opryland Hotel, which is beautiful and a nice place to visit, even if you stay elsewhere...it has several great restaurants throughout, in a lovely atmosphere all around.

And, if you happen to love a great "honky tonk" on Broadway...Robert's Western World is the gold standard for me. We visited others, and they're fun to check out, but ended up there every night. Fantastic live, local bands and fun atmosphere. The crowds on Broadway have gotten crazy is the only thing in recent years, but "when in Rome"....you just gotta do "the thing."

Have fun!!
