@Kachina624  Hoffa's body parts are probably in some of those mine shafts as his body is still missing.

We will probably never know what happened. It could have been a case where she had a heart attack (or died some other way) and the captors were completely baffled about what to do....So they did nothing.

And I have to add, with all Savannah Gutherie's money why didn't her mother have the best security system for her house?

Every time some new information comes forward, I ask the very same question. My mom moved to a senior living community, but if she had wanted to stay in her home, we would have made sure she had the best security. And we're just regular people.

Yes, revenge. I don't want to go into it further b/c the topic would get it deleted.

I remember them saying there was some type of security camera but subscription not activated . There was also something abt the front door being a security door .

Still beleive it was someone that had been to her house as gardner or  home health or someone in that line to be at & in her house.

My theory is she was taken for ransom but with all the publicity and police/FBI presence, things got to hot to try to pursue collecting so they killed her.

Most people are not aware that there are approximately 100,000 abandoned mine shafts in the desert and mountains in Arizona, including many in the Tuscon Mountains.  They make a very convenient way of disposing of a body.

I think poor Nancy may be at the bottom of one of those shafts and will probably never be found.

Many of the trails in the Saguaro National Park and Tucson Mountain Park were once mining roads. Five of the more prominent mines are accessible from marked trails and often visited by hikers."

@Kachina624  I agree with you.  Ransom, but too much unexpected publicity to collect.  All about money.

@Puzzle Piece   My feeling has always been that someone had a grudge either against Savannah or one of her sibs.  So odd that no money was demanded.

@Kachina624  I also think there's a strong possibility she's buried somewhere in Mexico...likelihood of finding her slim to none.  Maybe years from now?  Where's Jimmy Hoffa's body?  Probably composted in a trash bin upon death.

Such a tragedy with Nancy but responsibility for bungling the case FROM DAY 1 (when it could have been solved) was the Tucson Police Chief, IMO!

So sad. Didn't she have a pacemaker or something that lost the signal shortly after she went missing? Without her medications she probably wouldn't have lived long.

I originally thought if it was for a ransom the kidnappers could have gotten her medicine in Mexico to keep her alive. But I don't think they wanted her to live.

Didn't the second note say something about her being "buried with nature?"

I really hope they can find out who did this? I believe it's some who were familiar with her house layout, for whatever reason.

I am so sorry for her family, and for the terror their mother must have felt.

Maybe to keep her quiet about something.
