In all the years I've been a QVC customer, their policy is "whatever is selling gets more hours on air".
I recall the years when Bruce Makowsky had a TSV just about every month, and he was on shows several times a week ... or so it seemed.
And what about the black spinel or droozy jewelry ... or Dr Denese creams and potions .... or ... Bare Minerals .... or .... Joan Rivers .... or .... you get the idea.
Next year their programming will look completely different.

Yes, I remember when Bare Minerals was on all the time. Remember what good friends Lisa R and Leslie Blodgett were and the shows they did together. Am surprised (guess I shouldn't be) how fast some lines come and go. An example is Candace Cameron Bure's clothing line. For awhile she seemed to be on quite a bit then poof she was gone. She was also a rep for Lancer skincare then gone from there too.

I think why many QVC shoppers, especially the all day viewers hate the repetitive stuff, is they use QVC as entertainment ...as well or background. I know I started watching in 1987, just once in a while, but then I had home business, and watched all day just as background. I didn't do soap opera, and not much else on those days. Then it was all day,all night. It was habit. Sometimes I'd buy,some days or week not. In those days most all hosts were great, so no host issues then. but I'd get disappointed when when they had all day gem shows, all day Irish , etc. I didn't buy. And it ruined my tv viewing, lol. We all have our niches.
then, toward 2000... things changed, lots of mew hosts , QVC was growing big. Then, some vendors were awful and so embarrassing, I would cringe. . I turned channel or offed the tv. One vendor, and one host was intolerable to me all of a sudden. One Ave dor made me no nervous with chatter, and a squeaky voice I d almost gnash my teeth. The more they were on the worse it got to me. Until one day click, off. But I think what can happen when those of who are, or were chronic Q watchers, the hosts and vendors get on nerves like a guest that you can't get rid of. Weird, but I think it's just individual personality conflicts! You know, like some co workers, relatives you can't stand to be around. We all have them. lol. My suggestion is, turn off tv for a few days totally. It's hard if you are used to it everyday. But pretty soon you will forget qvc is around. For me, shortly after I quit watching, online purchasing started. Perfect, and it got better and better. Well, that's my "qvc annonomous" story, and I am sticking to it!! Lol!
just turn it off, go online if your curious for tSV or an item. There is SO MUCH online! Things never presented and for once you get measurements,, washing instructions, reviews, ingredients...lots of good stuff.

@Tinkrbl44 yes! BM and Kathy Van Zealand took over all the time. In the early days, it was Amcor ionizer, that pain relief infra red thing, and NESCO roaster. But I have to say the Nesco shows with Virginia were the best shows ever, so fun, good recipes ,and laughs, especially with Steve Bryant. The night he ate whipped soap suds Virginia had as a dupe trifle Sundae lol lol. They had to break for that. There were the dolls, omg, one doll, or bear show after another, they had a few bear vendors.. lol. The celebrity jewelry was wild Morgan Fairchild, Joan Collin's, Joan rivers, Angie Dickinson, just to name a couple. Then there was the Judy and Jeffery drama, marriage, divorce, departure. All this and no q forum or internet to get the scoop! we had to wait for Kathy's book to find out some stuff lol. Those were the days. But we had overload then, it was just newer stuff. QVC wasn't as old as now, and the merchandise was fairly new to us

No baiting. She doesn't like SG and that's just as ok as you or someone else liking her. I always wonder what happened to make someone so critical.
please please find someone else to stalk
i am asking nicely
You post, I happen to see it. No stalking. Thank you for nicely asking.

I'm not as optimistic about next year. Their programming has been the same old, same old, or some variation of the same old for years. But who knows. Hopefully they'll surprise me.

Watching is a choice made by the viewer. There are endless options for watching and doing other things.
I don't like V-necks, 3/4 length sleeves, polyester, slub, gauze, or ankle pants. Therefore, I would not waste my time watching KG or SG. Other people love them and purchase a lot from them.

@FRANKANDZOE,
NOT EVERYONE HAS A MOTHER BUT THEY BEAT THAT S**T TO DEATH, JUST LIKE CHRISTMAS STARTS IN JULY AND THAT'S ALL WE HERE ABOUT. I HEAR MORE ABOUT PRIDE MONTH ON QVC THEN CHANNAKA. AND NOW THEY HAVE A KIM A THON? WHO WANTS TO WATCH HER SING AND DANCE WHILE MARY COPIES HER BECAUSE SHE HAS "PICK ME" SYNDROME. YES I KNOW I DONT HAVE TO WATCH AND I DONT AND HAVE CANCELED AND UNSUBSCRIBED FROM EVERYTHING QVC. THEIR VALUES SUCK.
