The caller said she's from South Jersey.  Could be she lives in Brigatine an island across from Atlantic City.  Just guessing.

Yes, exactly!  Or - as I said in post 34 - Wildwood, Cape May, Stone Harbor, Avalon.  There are islands all over South Jersey.

Was the person she said that to named Anthony?

I have about 10 Anthonys in my family and, yes, we're Italian-Americans living in the northeast.  But I promise you I never once spoke to any of them like that!  Woman Surprised  Most of the stereotypes you see on "reality" TV are as accurate a depiction of Italian-Americans as The Olive Garden is of Italian food.  Thanks Jersey Shore!!  Woman Tongue

You're absolutely correct!  NJ is nothing like it's depicted on TV and in the movies.

This caller said she lives on an island in South Jersey.  NJ is a very big state, and north & south are very different from each other.  So a lot being said here is a huge stereotype within an incorrect generalization!

Maybe you haven't been here long enough to know what I'm referring to. A few posters understood so it's all good ; )

Oh I got it. My first thought was "oh no you didn't."  ROFLOL

I just watched it on YouTube. That is hilarious.  The woman specifically says she lives on an island in South Jersey and there aren't many stores.

Man her speech was very, very pronounced when she said that.  "Can you not see I'm on the %$#&* phone?"  LOL  Leah's face was priceless and she said "oh.  Uh oh."  But she was giggling about it.

LOL Leah's expression is priceless!  Sorry but the cussing lady sounded like she'd been drinking too- just my opinion so don't take any "shots"- forgive the pun.

Years ago MBR tookn a caller- all that horrible man said was one word.. and it started with a B and hung up.  Her expression was like, "did that really happen."

Just another good reason to get rid of the calls.
