The perpetrators of these horrible murders are becoming younger and younger. I always wonder when I see any of these reports....where were the parents when this happened? Do these kids kill for a cellphone or a wallet? Many are killing as a gang initiation. They have no parents who care and the gang gives them something to belong to. They need to charge young thugs who murder as adults...enough of this. Keeping them a month and letting them loose to kill again...and many of them do indeed kill again. The parents need to be held accountable also...they are negligent. I worked with kids like these years ago. They were trying to get out of two specific gangs in Cali and were moved all over the country to safehouses to hopefully keep them from being killed. The only way to leave a gang is death. If kids have parents who care and parent them, they won't be wanting a gang instead.

Do you live in New Jersey? If not then perhaps look up the local newstations and/or newspapers to see what's going on with this case. I live in Massachusetts and didn't know anything about this awful crime.

I am not making any excuses for murder. You don’t put a 13 year old in a prison with adult men.

@bikerbabe NJ has a *prison* for children 18 & under. They call it a "detention" center but it's actually a **prison** set up just like the one for adults, Trenton State Prison which houses "Old Smokey."

3 Teens Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Taxi Driver In Somerset

SOMERSET, NJ — Three 13-year-old and 14-year-old boys were charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a taxi driver during a planned robbery on May 11.

On Friday, May 12, all three juveniles were found by authorities.

Two juveniles were in Franklin Township and the third juvenile was in New Brunswick. The juveniles were taken to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office where they were subsequently charged.
