Though he'll probably not become a favorite, I like this artist's work. I think his portrait of Charles is interesting, as is his portrait of William. His paintings of the Sussexes are less portraiture than depictions, as has been stated. I think both are well done and would also note, his work of Harry, intentionally or not, works well at portraying him as the court jester he's become while his work of Meghan lends her more gravitas than I think she deserves, but also paints her as quite icy, which seems fitting.

@Oznell Wallis Simpson may have done England a favor by effectively removing Edward from ruling. He was known to be a Nazi sympathizer which would have been terrible when the war started.

Aw, thanks, kind @Spacrazy .
@chessylady , that's a great point. The way was paved for King George to take over, who, along with his consort, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the Queen Mother, proved to be sturdy, loyal and brave in the face of the privations of the War and the horrors of the London Blitz.
Britons were steadied by the royal family, who, didn't flee and send their children to safety, unlike many other crowned heads in Europe. They kept their family together and withstood the German bombs along with the rest of the populace, inspiring the people and keeping up morale.

@Oznell I don't like either painting. I think, for me, it's because of the two persons that comprise the subject matter.
Harry looks like a loon amd Megs looks like her cold ice face is a reflection of who she really is as a person.
Just my opinion. Maybe the artist was just, as the British say, taking the p i s s. LOL
Thank you as always for your great posts.
