Purchased 3 big screen Sharp TV's from QVC and would do it again only one we had a question and they sent guys from Sharp the nest day and all they had to do was turn something on it and BAM it was fine. No problems with big purchases from the Q

Buy a large screen TV from the Q. They used to have some great sounding deals, but wonder how they turned out?

Years ago when I was dumb ; ) I purchased a large flat screen TV from them. It was a Sharp Aquos which has a pretty good reputation. The sound was terrible from the start so I hooked it up to an external speaker and it was tolerable. The picture good for about a year then it would turn off for no reason and sometimes it wouldn't come on unless I unplugged then plugged it back in. I couldn't return it because it was way past the 30 day return policy. CS was absolutely no help at all. Fortunately I had the sense to get SquareTrade with the purchase. One of their techs came out and replaced a circuit board. On occasion it still won't come on unless we unplug/plug it but at least it won't completely shut off while we're watching it. We put it in the spare bedroom so we don't have to deal with it unless we have guests.

My advice... never, ever buy a TV or any other expensive electronic product from the Q.

I wouldn't buy ANY large household type product online. And we have a Sleep Number bed from the Sleep Number store. We hated the bed when we got it. DH and I are both side sleepers and we had bad back and hip pain when we first got it. At the time, we tried to return it, and Sleep Number said we could only pay thousands to upgrade, they wouldn't take it back and it was under 30 days. So we bought a 200 dollar foam topper for it instead and make it work.

Hi to all! I just read through everyone's posts and they are very interesting. Right about trying something in the store and of course it isn't the same bed, however a person would certainly think it would feel the same, another one that is.

Years ago my DH and I bought a sofa and loveseat in Phx, very nice a plaid, when it was delievered of course it wan't the same one and the plaids were mismatched all over. I had a fit and called them and insisted on the one int the store that was fine. They replaced it and I don't know if it was that one, but it matched and was beautiful, so I didn't care. So much for buying in the store.!

These days we have to be careful consumers and know what we are buying.

Thanks so much for the responses!!
