I am so confused as to which mask to get. There are N95 and N94, some made in Korea, some in China. I am an adult with a narrow small face, do any of the masks come in sizes or are they a standard size? I have looked on Amazon, these masks are pretty pricey, not everyone can afford them, I feel like companies are price gouging consumers, it isn't right.

The way i understand, is N95 mask are best ,niosh approved, then kn95 niosh approved, it is better to buy ,than to get this virus,i feel.

Just happened to watch ShopHQ earlier and they are selling KN95.

Price looked outrageous to me, but 🤷🏼‍♀️?

Paper masks irritate my face badly. The ones being sold on ShopHQ have edges that slope ... do those cause less irritation?

Are you going to switch to this more expensive mask?

@LTT1

I have been wearing KN95 masks for almost the beginning of the pandemic. I buy POWECOM brand from BonaFideMasks dot com. Free shipping, no minimum and authentic.

@LTT1 I'm thinking about it. I work in a school, everyday we get emails about students and staff members contracting COVID. I have cloth masks that I have retired and now only wear disposable ones (not the N94 or N95).

I wear a KN95 mask out & about. Hanging it on your car mirror is frankly useless. Best to store in a paper bag if reusing for a few days/trips out.

If you don't care, than do whatever you want, wear the same mask a gazillion times, or do nothing.

I'm frankly sick of grown adults complaining about wearing masks when most little kids seem to have no problems! Just saying.... I for one have no problems wearing one. And I know several people with MAJOR health issues-also no problem wearing a mask.

I have worn cloth masks (made by me with double layers of tightly woven fabric) for coming up on 2 years.  The disposable ones gap at the edges so I figured the ones I made that sit flat against my cheeks and go well under my jaw served the purpose.  Since they now say cloth masks are not a great choice, I got some disposable ones.  They still gap but I put a cloth one over top and the sides are tight against my face so I am hoping that will do the trick!  I have some of the 95 ones (3M Aura) but I don't care for the head loops, they slide on my long hair.  Since I don't really go anywhere other than the grocery store or hardware stores, I think my double mask approach will be sufficient.  Fingers crossed.

@SilleeMee

Thank you and good to know!

Recently, COVID has been making the rounds in our family.

It started with DGS (age 7) but DD and DGD (age 8) all three went the same day for tests. DGS + DD+ but DGS had it the worst and was the first infected or showing signs.

DD and DGS are isolating right now and going stir crazy. Now, a big snow is in the way so they won't be going anywhere.❤️

Take care, @SilleeMee  and stay well, stay safe!

@SilleeMee

I remember when the pandemic was new and hospitals (such as in NYC) were full and masks were in short supply, medical personnel in ER's were sterilizing their used masks in ovens?

This sounds gross to me to reuse them but you do what you gotta do?

Do you remember this and how they did it?
