I don't see the original post as being about these forums at all.

I see it as being about being in the world every day doing the most boring everyday things, and the fact that a kind word or gesture can celebrate others rather than tolerate them. Makes the world less cruel and impersonal, and it's something everyone can do.

What I said about these forums is no different in the way I have lived all my adult life in the real world. My comments are/were analogous to how I continue to live now.

Hello friends!  today i was in starbucks and lady came in with a pretty dress on.  the barista stated how nice she looked.  she was quite flustered by the compliment.  Then another gentlemen said..."go where you are celebrated not tolerated"  Those words stuck with me all day.  so that is my wish for all you!!  Hang out with those that celebrate you!!

In an ideal world that would be nice but reality tells me that it isn't really all that common to be celebrated.  Isn't that the reason why people flock to Facebook and Instagram? Endless photos and self congratulatory posts where someone is telling them how great they look? It's become a real thing today where some don't want to listen to anyone with an opposing viewpoint. So they only want like minded folks surrounding them.

I'll pass because the people I disagree with still hold some valuable life lessons...
